Sleek, svelte supercars seem to be all the rage, but there’s something delightfully devilish about a family-friendly four-door capable of racecar rivaling speed. With Dodge’s new-for-2015 Charger SRT Hellcat now taking the crown for the world’s fastest four-door, we take a look at the Top 10 fastest production sedans, with info on horsepower, 0-60 times, top speeds and pricing.
With entries hailing from the U.S., the U.K. and Germany, any of these sleeper sedans will outpace most of the fastest coupes on the market once speeds reach the triple-digit range, a testament to the sheer horsepower that they produce. Following are the top 10 fastest sedans in the World:
10. Audi RS7: 174mph
While Audi’s halo luxury sport RS-line model may technically be a hatchback, its four doors and plenty of space for 5 passengers to sit in sublime comfort puts it on this short list of the world’s fastest sedans. A twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 makes 560 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque, and the ¼-mile comes in just 11.6 seconds.
9. Cadillac CTS-V : 185 mph
The CTS-V used to be the fastest American sedan on the market, at least until the Charger Hellcat came around. With a 556-horsepower, 551-lb-ft.-torque supercharged 6.2-liter V8, it will be sold out soon as the next-generation 2015 CTS has hit the market… at least until the even crazier next-gen CTS-V comes along.
