Most Economical Sports Cars!!!

Impressive Sports Cars !!

Most people love the idea of a beautiful, fast and noisy sports car, but there are good reasons the supermarket car parks aren’t packed with the things. For a start, they’re not that practical and don’t have much luggage space.

The biggest obstacle to sports car ownership, however, is the fact that they tend to burn through petrol like it’s going out of fashion. Thankfully, the magic of modern engines mean that there are a few sports cars on the market that are relatively fuel efficient. Here are the most fuel-efficient sports cars on sale today.

10. McLaren P1 – 34 mpg:

The P1 is the most powerful on this list with 903hp on tap with 664lb ft of torque being fired at the rear wheels. This lets the P1 achieve a top speed of 217mph and a 0-62mph time of 2.8 seconds. Impressive stuff, but what’s more impressive is that the P1 can achieve 34mpg on the official economy tests because it can run in electric-only mode for 19 miles. After that, the big V8 engine kicks in and it all goes downhill very quickly.

9. BMW M235i – 34.9 mpg:

The BMW M235i is a incredibly fast two-door coupe with sleek looks, fun handling and an engine that can return 34.9 mpg. It’ll get you from 0-62mph in just 4.8 seconds with the excellent eight-speed automatic gearbox, or 5.0 seconds if you want a manual.

Compared to many of the cars on this list it looks understated – perfect for avoiding unwanted attention at the traffic lights, or just for convincing the family you’ve not bought an outrageously fast car.
